Russian Cardiovascular Days 2021 took place in Saint-Petersburg
In 2021, the VIII Global Educational Forum "Russian Cardiovascular Days" was held in a hybrid format. For the first time in a long time, doctors had the opportunity to attend the event "live": 339 people were able to attend the event in person, communicate with colleagues and leading experts from Russia and European countries. More than 2,000 people watched the online broadcasts. 49 young cardiologists from 18 cities of our country received travel grants for the Forum.
Traditionally, the RCD scientific program included a significant number of reports from European colleagues, the co-chairman of the program committee, Professor M. Komajda (France), assembled a brilliant team of leading ESC experts who presented their reports for Russian doctors.
Russian experts spoke in person - in St.Petersburg at the Almazov Centre, and remotely.
All the events of the forum were broadcast, in three days the YouTube channel scardioru scored more than 50,000 views, and about 2,000 doctors expressed their desire to receive CME loans, since the forum was accredited by the Coordinating Council for Continuing Medical Education.
Russian Heart Days were accredited for specialties:
- anesthesiology-resuscitation,
- cardiology,
- neurology,
- general medical practice (family medicine),
- X-ray endovascular diagnostics and treatment,
- radiotherapy, cardiovascular surgery,
- therapy,
- ultrasound diagnostics,
- functional diagnostics
In the final lecture, RSC President Prof. Evgeny Shlyakhto thanked the RCD Programme committee for the rich scientific programme of the event, noted the active discussions that took place both in the halls and on the society's website, and also noted the first success of a young Russian doctor - Sofya Shalaurova from Novosibirsk, who was the first Russian young doctor to successfully pass the European Examination in Core Cardiology. This became possible thanks to the intensive work of our team, which represented Russia in the preparation of the exam for cardiologists from all over Europe, under the leadership of Prof. Dmitry Duplyakov, head of the RSC Samara branch, as well as with the active participation of:
- Elena Efremova from Ulyanovsk
- Ekaterina Gubareva from Samara
- Olga Dzhioeva from Moscow
- Vasily Kashtalapp from Kemerovo
- Naufal Zagidullin from Ufa
Prof. Shlyakhto noted that the last forum became a celebration of science and friendship, which means that this hybrid format can be considered successful. We thank all the participants of the VIII Russian Cardiovascular Days 2021!
